Disney's Animated Movies not Based or Inspired on Novels and Fairy Tales

Disney's animated films would always bring up something creative based on fairy tales or children novels. But for more than a decade Disney also concentrated on original stuff too. We have listed some of the best Disney's original animated movies:

1.Dinosaur

Released in 2000, Dinosaur is a adventure drama film. This was Disney's 39th film and also its first 3D animated film. It was known to be the most expensive theatrical movie release of the year. The story is about a survival of a  Iguanodon dinosaur from a violent meteor shower, along with his adoptive lemurs family. The film was a financial success and also a received positive views. 2.The Emperor's New Groove

Released in the same year along with Dinosaur, The Emperor's New Groove is a family musical film. The story is about a selfish teenage emperor who magically turns to a Llama by his evil advisor, due to his ruthless behavior. It is the 40th animated feature of Disney Animation Studios. The film got an Oscar nomination in Best Song.

3. Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Atlantis: The Lost Empire is a traditional animated action adventure. It was the 41st film and also the first science fiction film released by Disney. The film tells the story of a young man who gains possession of a sacred book, which he believes will guide him and a crew of adventurers to the lost city of Atlantis. 

4. Lilo & Stitch

The 2002 release 2D animated film Lilo & Stitch is a science fiction comedy drama. The story is about a a alien creature Stich who accidentally lands in Earth, and meet a young little girl Lilo who keep him as her pet dog. The movie was a theatrical success and received positive views. Due to the success of the film, Disney released the television series with same main characters of the film. The film was nominated for Best Animated Film for Oscars.

5. Brother Bear

Brother Bear is a 2003 American animated adventure comedy-drama film. It is the 44th film in Disney Animation's list. The story is about a boy named Kenai who kills the bear for the revenge of his dead brother, but turn into a bear by the angry Spirits. The film is the 44th in Disney's collection. The film was nominated for Best Animated Film for Oscars.

6. Home on the Range

Home on the Range is a 2004 American animated musical western comedy film. The story is about mismatched trio of dairy cows, who is in a mission to save their idyllic farm from foreclosure. The 45th feature of Disney Animation and was the last traditionally animated Disney film until 2009's The Princess and the Frog.

7. Bolt

A computer-animated adventure action comedy film, Bolt was released in 2008. It is the 48th film of Disney's Animation. dog named Bolt who, having spent his entire life on the set of a television series, thinks that he has super powers. The film stars the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus. The film received positive views and was also nominated for Best Animated Film for Oscars.

8. Wreck-It Ralph

Wreck-It Ralph is a 2012 American computer-animated fantasy-comedy film. It is the 52nd animated feature in the Disney Animated series. The film tells the story of the eponymous arcade game villain Wreck-It Ralph who is tired of being villain, and want to prove that a villain can be hero too.The film was a box-office hit and also received an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Film
